Ondjiviro Hunting Safaris was born out of passion for hunting and nature. They strive to live up to its name that means “knowledge” and “professional” in the local Herero language.

Your host, Volca developed his passion for hunting at a very early age. As a child growing up on his family farm in northern Namibia, he hunted numerous game and birds even before he could read and write. His passion for hunting was cemented and fueled in these early years and it is here that his father taught him respect for nature.

This 10 000 ha hunter’s paradise in the Kalahari, together with several hunting concessions throughout Namibia, provide endless possibilities of adrenaline-pumping stalks on a wide variety of huntable game species.

Hunting is done on foot “walk & stalk” and we also make use of blinds to get you as close as possible for the perfect shot.

Seasoned hunters know that when hunting in Africa, there is always something new to learn and the are always new possibilities for the next illusive trophy. For the first time hunter to Africa, they take great care to explain all aspects of the hunt, shot placement and safety precautions before and on the hunt.

Bow hunting is mostly done from well-constructed blinds at waterholes and game trails, but stalking; if the possibility presents itself, always make for an adrenaline pumping adventure. Before the hunt commences we test fire all bows to make sure that arrows fly correctly for a quick and clean kill.

The basecamp is situated on Intu-Afrika Kalahari Private Game Reserve, an area teeming with wildlife and so rugged and beautiful that it will take your breath away.

This malaria-free area is characterised by ancient Camelthorn trees engulfed in an endless sea of red sand dunes. Accommodation consists of 3 lodge types, from rugged thatch roof chalets, to luxury walk-in-style tents and luxury suites.

Non-hunters can either tag along on the hunt or relax at one of our luxurious safari lodges with massage facilities and take part in activities like traditional bushman walks, game drives and quad biking while the hunters are out in the field.
